After his marriage, Chao Noi Yodfa Na Nan entered royal service as Phaya Ratchabut of Phrae. Following the Shan Rebellion of 1902 (พ.ศ. ๒๔๔๕, เงี้ยวปล้นเมืองแพร่), he returned to Nan and served as Chao Ratchadanai (เจ้าราชดนัย)until his death in 1917 (พ.ศ. ๒๔๖๐).
His residence, Khun Chao Ratchadanai (คุ้มเจ้าราชดนัย / คุ้มเจ้าน้อยยอดฟ้า ณ น่าน), was constructed in the colonial style of brick and stucco. Today, it houses the Juvenile and Family Court of Nan Province, located on Suriyaphong Road, Nai Wiang Subdistrict, Mueang Nan District.
